Missed Connections

So today was supposed to be the big date with Jodi and jamied. It snowed a little in New York to signal jamied's arrival, and we were going to have lunch somewhere on the Upper East Side. I e-mailed Jodi for updates, but Jodi said jamied had not called. We just assumed she was having too much fun in the city. Unfortunately, that was not the case since jamied did call Jodi -- she left multiple voice messages -- but they only arrived on Jodi's phone an hour ago. So frantic Jodi called jamied's hotel room -- left a message -- my god, this phone tag thing -- and jamied finally got in touch with Jodi a few minutes ago. So now, hopefully, I get to see them both tomorrow afternoon, if all goes well. I will make sure my cellphone is charged, or check voicemail intermittently just in case.
