Miranda Lambert Announces New Single, 'Automatic'

Miranda Lambert has finally announced the title of her new single, 'Automatic'.

The song is the lead from her forthcoming fifth studio album, as yet untitled and without release date. 'Automatic' was written by Miranda, Nicolle Galyon and Natalie Hemby, a trio which makes it seem very promising, and apparently is about taking a step back and remembering the simple life, what it was like getting to the place you are now.

It’s not about going back, but reminiscing about what it was like to hang laundry on the line and wait for it to dry and my dad teaching me how to drive my ’55 Chevy that I still have but don’t drive nearly enough,” she said. “The song brings back good memories and it reminds me to take a deep breath and to remember that getting there is half the fun.”

The song will hit radio on February 5, with an iTunes release expected a couple of weeks later.

YAY! Who's excited?! Err, me!
