If the internet has anything to say about it, Miley Cyrus will be Time magazine's Person of the Year.
As of the time of this writing, Cyrus is leading in the poll with 23.7% of the vote, beating out the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan (18.3%), National Democratic Alliance candidate for Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi (15.1%), Minister of Defense Abdel Fattah el-Sisi who helped depose Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi (13.7%) and the controversial NSA leaker Edward Snowden (5%).
Of course, the final decision for who should be crowned Person of the Year is determined by Time's editors and not the masses so we probably won't see her mug on the cover.
A hacker group is taking the credit for Cyrus being at the top of the list, but the poll requires a Facebook or Twitter log in to participate so we don't know if we should actually be shaming/patting them on the back.
