Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Indicted for Tax Fraud

Well, looks like The Situation is looking at jail time unless his lawyers can weave some magic.

Mike Sorrentino has been charged with tax fraud in New Jersey, with the State Attorney claiming the reality TV star did not pay his full tax bill on the $8.9 million in earnings he accrued over the past year. But it gets worse for The Situation, as prosecutors are also alleging he intentionally filed fraudulent returns in order to appear on the up-and-up with the IRS.

In addition, Sorrentino's brother, Marc, was charged with conspiracy to commit tax fraud.

If convicted, The Situation could face up to nine years in federal prison.

At the moment, Mike and Marc Sorrentino are out on $250,000 bond awaiting their arraignment on October 6th. Their lawyers insist the Sorrentinos are not guilty, although the state of New Jersey appears to have damning evidence on its side. Perhaps both sides could work out some sort of deal, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
