Miguel fan considering legal action for Billboard Music Awards injury

Khyati Shah, the fan on whom R&B singer Miguel landed during a botched stage dive at the Billboard Music Awards, is now considering legal action against the singer.

Though many had expected legal action in the immediate aftermath of Miguel dropping his leg on Shah's head, the fan laughed off the injury during a backstage interview alongside Miguel after the awards ceremony, holding an ice pack to her elbow and taking the incident in stride. Shah's attorney, Vip Bhola, told E! News that a decision would be made soon regarding whether a lawsuit would be filed against the singer, stating, "We will determine that after we have feedback from medical providers." Bhola declined to give a timeframe for when any civil action might be filed, but offered that consideration for any potential lawsuit would be the result of Shah's most recent medical results, as Shah has been experiencing "difficulties" as a result of the incident.

The attorney states that he has not spoken to the performer's legal representatives, but Bhola left open the possibility for a settlement.
