Miguel and Ed Sheeran join 'The Voice' as guest mentors

Season five of The Voice is bringing in two of the music industry's rising stars to assist the coaches in finalizing their teams.

Entertainment Weekly reports that R&B crooner Miguel will be joining Team Cee Lo as a guest mentor for the reality singing competition's upcoming fifth season. Meanwhile, British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has been recruited to serve as mentor for Christina Aguilera's team.

The fifth season of The Voice premieres Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. on NBC, with the Battle Rounds (featuring Sheeran and Miguel) beginning on Oct. 14.
