Michelle Williams to get 'ratchet' on new gospel album - Video

The one and only, the incomparable Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child is about to slay the game with a self-described ratchet gospel album with beats you can "turn up" with.

Speaking with Rap-Up at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards, Williams said "My mother listened to it, and it’s supposed to be an inspirational type of record, and she was like,  'This is different.’ She was like, 'This sounds ratchet.' It kinda does have a gritty, urban feel to it. I got a couple beats on there that are gonna make you turn up. I collabed with somebody that people are gonna be shocked about."

She also talked about the reception of her lead single "If We Had Your Eyes." The single's teaser got over 1 million YouTube views. Williams said, "I was like, ‘People are really ready for some music from me, That million views let me know people are ready."

Go Michelle!
