'Shield' Actor Michael Jace Officially Charged With Murder

Prosecutors have officially charged Michael Jace with the murder of his wife.

You may recall that he was arrested for suspicion of homicide on May 20, but not formerly charged.

If convicted, Jace -- an actor on the television show The Shield -- could be facing 50 years to life in a state prison.

Police say that Michael shot and killed his wife, April Jace, multiple times on Monday in their Los Angeles home. He was there when they arrived on the scene and was home at the time of the murder.

His two children were also there at the time and are now staying with relatives.

Instead of paying the $2 million in bail money, Jace is being held by police.

His first court date is set for Thursday (May 29).
