Merle Haggard To Release Anniversary Edition of 'Okie From Muskogee'

Merle Haggard is to release an anniversary edition of his iconic album Okie From Muskogee on March 25, a celebration of 45 years since it hit the country market. The record, which was originally released in 1969, went on to become hugely successful for the singer, featuring the #1 title track and winning him 3 ACMs that year.

However, the anniversary edition will also include a live recording of his The Fightin' Side of Me album, also legendary, and rare for the fact that it has never been released on CD or digitally, making it a must-have for fans. In fact the record, originally released in 1970, has long been out of print altogether making it a highly sought-after piece of country music history.
