Men's Trampoline - London 2012 Olympics - Medal Results
Japan, China and Russia battled it out for supremacy on the Men's Trampoline at the London 2012 Olympics. Read on for all the high flying details and medal results.
Men's trampoline is a gymnastics event that is primarily dominated by Russia, China and Japan. In today's final the scores pretty much went up with every athlete to go, with the Russian Ushakov and Dong Dong of China being the clear stand outs of the field.
In the trampoline event, the athletes basically jump really, really high and then do a bunch of crazy twisting and flipping tricks. All of these guys really jumped up there, but the gold and silver medalist jumped exceptionally high. The competitors all received scores based on their level of difficulty, execution and flight time.
It was a fun event with lots of impressive tricks and how can you not like a sport that isn't afraid to include the cheesy goodness of playing the song "Jump" as the medalists celebrated their victories?
Results:
Gold: Dong Dong - China
Silver: Dmitry Ushakov - Russia
Bronze: Lu Chunlong - China
Congratulations to all the medalists!
