Men's Skeet - 2012 London Olympics - Medal Results

American Vincent Hancock broke two Olympic records on his way to making Olympic history by winning back to back gold medals in the Men's Skeet final at the 2012 London Olympics.  The final medal results came down to a shoot off to determine the bronze.

In the skeet event, the men use a double barreled shotgun to shoot moving clay targets.  The event requires precise aim and lightning reflexes.  The challenge varies at different stations with some shots being only a single target and others having two.

American Vincent Hancock set an Olympic Record in qualifying and another in the final on his way to becoming the first man ever to win two Olympic Gold medals in the skeet competition.  His victory also made the United States the first country to ever win three consecutive gold medals in the skeet event.  Hancock's victory comes on the back of a historic fifth gold medal for American Kim Rhode in the women's event.  Go USA!

Results:

Gold: Vincent Hancock - United States

Silver: Anders Golding - Denmark

Bronze: Nassar Al-Attyia - Qatar

Congratulations to all the medalists!
