Men's Eight - London 2012 Olympics - Medal Results

The home team picked up it's second rowing medal of the day in the Men's Eight at the London 2012 Olympics.  Read on for all the medal results.

Rowing is a sport probably best known to American audiences as that sport that the Winklevi famously competed in, in the movie The Social Network.  The Men's Eight is one of the most exciting of the rowing events.  With eight burly men, all working in tandem, these boats really fly down the water.

In front of a roaring crowd, chanting "Go GB!", the German crew beat Canada by more than a second, while the host nation's team just edged out the United States to claim the bronze.

Results:

Gold: Germany

Silver: Canada

Bronze: Great Britain

Congratulations to all the medalists!
