Men's 49er - London 2012 Olympics - Results

The Men's 49er sailing event took place on a much less windy day at the London 2012 Olympics.

Here are your medal results:

The wind was not as fierce and the waves not as choppy for today's sailing final, but the two man crews of the Men's 49er still had to work hard to harness the wind and finish the race in first place.  The 49er is a trapeze skiff type sailing dingy, crewed by two men.  Each boat has a skipper and one crew for this race.  They must work together to control the sail and steer the boat.

Results:

Gold: OUTTERIDGE Nathan and JENSEN Iain  - Australia

Silver: Peter Burling & Blair Tuke - New Zealand

Bronze: Allan Norregaard & Peter Lang  - Denmark

Congratulations to all the medal winners!
