Men's 3m Springboard - London 2012 Olympics - Results

American Troy Dumais competed in the Men's 3m Springboard event at the London 2012 Olympics today.  Would anyone be able to break the Chinese stranglehold on the diving gold medals?

Here are your medal results:

Dumais dove well, but didn't have enough difficulty to keep pace with the top competitors.  The Chinese Divers also dove well, but weren't up to their usual standard of perfection.  Even so, it would take a spectacular performance from Russian diver Ilya Zakharov to finally end the Chinese perfect gold medal run in the diving events.

Zakharov was nearly perfect in all six of his dives and had some of the highest degree of difficulty dives in the competition.  One of the best diving performances in 3m springboard history.  The two Chinese divers captured the silver and bronze medals, proving that even on an off (for them) day they are still a force to be reckoned with.

Bronze: He Chong - China
