Matt Smith Will Be Joining 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'

The film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies finally has some forward momentum and former Doctor Who star Matt Smith is all set to join the cast.

Smith will play religious Mr. Collins, a much-loathed one-sided love interest for heroine Elizabeth Bennet.

If you're not in the know, P&P&Z is the mash-up from Quirk Books by author Seth Grahame-Smith, who took the original text of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and added 100% more zombies.

All while still keeping the original satire of the novel in place. Albeit for completely different reasons.

The adaptation is set to begin shooting on Sept. 24 and also features cast members Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote and Douglas Booth.

Natalie Portman will help produce.
