Matt McAndrew sings 'Make It Rain (VIDEO)

Matt McAndrew sang 'Make It Rain' by Ed Sheeran on The Voice Season 7 Semi-Finals on Monday, December 8, 2014 for Team Adam Levine.

One of the best performances of the entire season, full-stop. This had loads of passion, and a rawness and grit we haven't seen from Matt since "Take Me To Church". I just thought he nailed every single note of this, and earned his four-coach standing ovation.

Blake thought it was a great performance. Meanwhile, Pharrell says he'd previously compared him to a rock star, but since no rock star sings like that, he'll just shorten it to "star". Gwen says Matt is a contradiction, between his sweet persona and tattoos. But he's a great singer and an explosive performer. Adam, for his part, declares that nobody in this competition can do what Matt does, saying he can absolutely destroy anything Adam puts in his way. I don't disagree, although I wouldn't sell the rest of my own team short, even if what he's saying is true. But this really, really was an outstanding performance, so I have a hard time begrudging Adam for throwing all his weight behind Matt.

But what do you think of Matt McAndrew?
