Mary J. Blige's Dad Was Stabbed, Currently in Critical Condition

Mary J. Blige's father is currently in critical condition after undergoing surgery following a domestic dispute which left him with a stab wound in the neck.

That is some horrifying cause and effect right there.

63-year-old Thomas Blige was rushed to the hospital yesterday morning (Jan. 23) after a fight with his ex-girlfriend ended with him getting stabbed in the neck as well as in two other places on his body.

The fight started when Blige caught her deflating the tires on his Ford SUV and went outside to confront her about it.

Reports say that she was arrested for assault with attempt to kill. Or something that sounds slightly more official.

This is not the first dispute between the two however, police have responded to seven different violent domestic complaints about the couple since August of 2013. The girlfriend was even arrested for aggravated domestic violence against Blige and given six-months probation after hitting him in the head with a candlestick.

Our thoughts are with Mary's father, who is currently in critical condition.
