Long live S.H.I.E.L.D., and the wild, superpowered psychopaths that make them necessary!

ABC has announced that it has given a full season order to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the fall's biggest new drama so far. Though it hasn't been the massive smash ABC might have been hoping for where live viewership is concerned, the show does pretty damn well once DVR numbers are factored in.

The 22-episode order will carry the series through the rest of the 2013-2014 broadcast season, and if it can keep up its impressive viewership numbers, a renewal seems certain. Until then, can we do something about the needlessly cumbersome title?
