Martina McBride - Suspicious Minds - MP3 Listen

Martina McBride is set to release her second covers album, Everlasting, on April 8, which follows 2005's Timeless.

An album of soul, R&B and jazz covers, Everlasting will feature the Elvis Presley cover 'Suspicious Minds', her version of which Martina has released early as an exclusive promotional track for fans. This will also be Martina's first independent release after her departure from Big Machine Records, on her new label Vinyl Recordings, distributed via Kobalt.

“There aren’t very many female versions of that song,” Martina told USA Today. “It makes sense for a woman to sing it. I focused on the lyrics on this record. This one is about reacting to jealousy and being possessive. Which women can really relate to.” She was joined on the song by Reggie young, who played on the original Elvis record.
