Martina McBride To Release Soul & Jazz Covers Album

Martina McBride fans finally have the promise of new music.

Martina is set to release a sequel to Timeless, consisting of covers of soul and jazz classics. This is a bit of an about-turn for Martina, whose last album Eleven failed to sell very well considering her usual selling power, and there are suggestions that Republic Nashville are dropping her after just one release. She is gone from the artist roster on their website, although both parties have kept quiet about it thus far. There are rumors she may be going independent.

This new studio album does not yet have a title, but it has an expected release date of March 2014. That month is a big one for Martina as she will return to UK shores once again, just announced to play the annual Country to Country festival in London.
