Married to Jonas - Season 2 Episode 2 - Recap - Pom Pom's and Circumstances
Married to Jonas shows us what is essentially a half-hour behind the scenes at the making of the Pom Poms music video and Danielle finally feels comfortable in her own skin. Check out the full review for Married to Jonas season 2 episode 2 Pom Pom’s and Circumstances.
The one and only problem with last episode has been thankfully remedied here: we get to see more of Nick and Joe! I know this isn’t fully a reality show about the Jonas Brothers, but seeing the three of them together in an episode still brings out my inner fanboy.
The house is noticeably more cluttered since Kevin and Danielle’s new guests have moved in for the time being, but Kevin isn’t too worried. He gets to escape to New Orleans for the filming of the Pom Poms music video! Dina comes to visit Dani and seems pretty upset because if Dani moves to NY with Kevin, then she will be seeing a lot less of the family. It’s a cute moment between the girls, and even though NY isn’t too far off from NJ, the whole situation is easy to relate to in every way.
Getting prepped for a photoshoot, Dani tears up with Dina. Dina thinks Dani might finally be comfortable in her own skin, and I totally agree. Danielle has never looked more glowing or beautiful than she did posing for that photoshoot, even without her man by her side. I think many great things are ahead for her.
In New Orleans, the boys are hard at work filming the video. There are lots of sexy girls on set, and Joe even comments that Kevin is probably scared Danielle will murder him. My favorite moment of the episode comes when the Jonas Brothers have a heart-to-heart about their plans for tour. Is Nick dropping hints about how he wants to clubbing? I could see it, honestly. Joe in that football helmet was just perfect. These are the kind of hilarious subtle moments that the boys always shared during their early webchats.
Once a family friend of the Jonases brings over a ridiculous amount of crawfish, things are all downhill from there. Kevin has a rather unpleasant experience (he ate way too many, what was he thinking?) and ends up in the trailer with a severe case of the shits. When he told Joe “I thought I was gonna poop my pants” I honestly was dying from laughter. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew is having a gay old time bringing in some native New Orleans creatures. Joe Jonas fangirling over a turtle? I didn’t think it was possible to love these guys any more than I already do. In the end, Kevin kind of sucks it up and goes out to finish the filming for the music video even though he’s clearly not up for it. I was hoping they would show us the Pom Poms video in its entirety at the end of this episode but hey, there’s always youtube right?
In the next episode, it looks like Mikey Deleasa is the word with some big pressure on him to open for the Jonas Brothers in South America. I wish this show was an hour. Married to Jonas is too much fun to be contained in only half an hour!
