'Married With Children' Cast Reunites for Katey Sagal Walk of Fame Ceremony (VIDEO)
Married With Children was one of the shows that got FOX off the ground as a network. However, when it ended in 1997 after 11 years, fans despaired of ever seeing the cast together again. But the Bundys are back together now, reuniting for honor Katey Sagal, who played Peggy Bundy on the show, as she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"I'm gonna say something that's never done much in Hollywood, I'm going to say something nice about my ex-wife," said Ed O'Neill, who played patriarch Al Bundy. "I met Katey in 1986. We were both trying out for the parts of Al and Peg Bundy on 'Married With Children.' ... We grew together as a cast and good friends and we see the whole family is here today. I was there when Katey won the Golden Globe for 'Sons of Anarchy.' I was proud of her before. I was proud of her then and I'm proud of her today."
At the event, held Tuesday in Los Angeles, O'Neill and Sagal came together for a reunion photo with their TV children Christina Applegate and David Faustino, making for a striking family photo.

However, O'Neill's speech was hardly the only occasion in which a member of the cast shared what Sagal meant to them.
"I thought she was the coolest person I had ever met in my life," said Applegate, who played daughter Kelly Bundy. "But what I didn’t realize is that that person was gonna become my mom. I spent more time with Katey and Ed and David than I did my own family … and I couldn’t be more proud of her, and I couldn’t love anybody more."
For her part, Sagal had reflections of her own on how far she's come since her emotional youth.
"When I was a kid, my parents used to always tell me I was too much, in a loving way," Sagal said in a speech of her own. "I felt everything very deeply, I took everything very personally. But then I became an actor and I found a place for all of that," she continued. "What began as a self conscious flaw became an asset."

Since Married With Children concluded, the cast has gone on to varying degrees of success. O'Neill is currently one of the stars of Modern Family, the five-time Emmy winner for Outstanding Comedy Series. Christina Applegate, meanwhile, has enjoyed success in such films as the Anchorman series. Lastly, Sagal has not only found popularity through her voice work as Leela on Futurama, she's also entering into the final season of Sons of Anarchy on FX.
