Marlisa Punzalan sang 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' on The X Factor Australia 2014 Live Show 9 on Sunday, October 5, 2014.

Marlisa has come a long way in this competition, yet I wasn't always sure just how far she'd go, particularly since the rankings from a few weeks ago had her pegged at fifth place, if I remember correctly. But now? I thought this was Marlisa's case for the win. This was an absolutely stunning performance, and one of the best of this entire competition. I do agree with Dannii that the opening note was unfortunate, although I'm not sure why she felt the need to mention that it happened in all of Marlisa's rehearsals too. I guess it's part of the critique to imply that it was a note Marlisa always got wrong, but honestly, in a critique like this, the rehearsals really shouldn't come into it. And you never know, it could affect Marlisa's vote totals if people go from thinking "Well, she just had a crack in her voice, no big deal. It happens" to thinking "Wait, so this happens all the time with this song, and she just never worked on it?" I'm probably over-thinking things, but I feel like it's a legit concern. I swear, I don't mean this to be "Pile Up on Dannii" Day, but sometimes, I wish she'd just...I dunno, say less? Of all the judges, she's the one who always comes across as the most strategic with her comments. And it's not a good look on her. At all.

But back to Marlisa: That run at the end was positively INSANE, and it wouldn't surprise me if this performance became a clickbait-y viral hit. "This girl just turned 15 before the biggest performance of her life. You won't BELIEVE what happens next!"
