Marlisa Punzalan & Jessica Mauboy sing 'Never Be the Same' on The X Factor Australia 2014 (VIDEO)

Marlisa Punzalan and Jessica Mauboy sang 'Never Be the Same' on The X Factor Australia 2014 Grand Final on Sunday, October 19, 2014.

I don't know what was up with the audio here, but the chorus just swallowed the vocals up. I really wish these shows would realize that the backing track doesn't need to be so booming all the time. Of course, for all I know, it's probably just my own lousy speakers. Either way, I thought both girls did an outstanding job with this vocal. I remember Jessica all the way back to her time on Australian Idol, thinking she didn't stand a chance of making the finale against Dean Geyer and Damien Leith. Yet she broke through, and here she is now, dueting with another person who has the potential to break through in a big way. This was simply great.

But what do you think of Marlisa Punzalan?
