Mario Vazquez - TRL

Mario Vazquez shows up on MTV's TRL. He now says that the reason why he quit American Idol was because he wanted more control of the "sound" that he's worked on since he was 13. He felt that American Idol wasn't going to give him that. That sounds more honest. You mean he was lying all along about his personal reasons? LOL

What if: Knowing that Carrie Underwood was their chosen one, American Idol asked Mario to quit in order to create controversy (and ratings), but guaranteed him a record contract (which they did give Mario a few months later)?

Hmmm... I love American Idol!
