For someone with "personal issues" Mario has been doing a lot of things lately. He's doing more publicity on his own than when he was on Idol! I just loved this clip.

If this stunt of Mario works, and I hope it does, it would be gutsiest call ever.

Judging by tonight's show, it looks like the producers will pimp Bo and Constantine into the finals. Mario was severely missed, and it looks like the show may not recover it's lost luster.

Apparently, Mario can do anything he wants now, except talk about contracts or cut an album, which may just be a couple of months away. Does anybody remember when William Hung released his album? Unlike other finalists who left the show in disgrace, Mario is totally intact. If there is another American Idol season next year, I am pretty sure they will revise the contracts in order to avoid what is currently happening.

If Mario continues to play his cards right (even in the guise of the lame personal issue excuse), he will be the biggest product of American Idol this year, without being the American Idol. How about that? He can sing, he has a lot of fans and double the publicity with this little controversy.
