Classless Mariah Carey Says 'American Idol' Was 'Abusive' - Producer Responds

Mariah Carey spoke to journalists at the TCA summer press tour on Wednesday promoting her show "Mariah’s World" on E! As usual, she threw in a jab at "American Idol" calling it an "abusive experience" when she was a judge.

She joked that it would drive her to drink! LOL Does she even need a reason to?

THR caught up with former "American Idol" executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and this is what he had to say:

"I'm looking forward to Mariah's new series and wondering if Nicki Minaj may guest."

Ouch.
