Margo Martindale Returning For 'The Americans' Season 2

Season 2 of FX's The Americans is right around the corner, and the series has lined up the return of an Emmy-winning star.

Margo Martindale is set to return to The Americans in Season 2, reprising her role as Elizabeth and Phillip’s KGB handler, Claudia.

“Sources say this intel is very strong,” executive producer Joel Fields jokingly verifies. “She’ll be back for at least one episode.”

This marks the return of Martindale to the role that earned her an Emmy nomination this year. Though she was unsuccessful in her Emmy bid this year, she remains an Emmy winner in her own right -- and for another FX drama, to boot, as Martindale won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2011 for her role as Mags Bennett on Justified.

Martindale already has a full schedule, as she'll be juggling her guest appearance on The Americans with her starring role on the new CBS comedy The Millers.

The Americans will return in early 2014 on FX.
