Mandy Moore has been cast as one of the leads in ABC's upcoming single-camera comedy pilot, Pulling. The network has long been trying to land Moore for a role with one of their many different comedy pilots over the years, the most recent of which was a pilot, starring Moore, that ultimately failed to get picked up to series. This marks the latest attempt to wed Moore to the network.

The show, the pilot for which will be written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, and directed by Jason Moore, is based on the critically-acclaimed 2006 British series. The series follows three dysfunctional women in their 30s "living their lives the way they want, even if society tells them they should have it all figured out by this point." Moore plays one of these women, Louise, an optimistic woman with a singular focus on snagging a husband. ABC Studios and Kapital Entertainment will produce the series with original British series creators Sharon Horgan and Dennis Kelly executive producing with Eisenberg, Stupnitsky and Aaron Kaplan.
