Man Tries To Burn Down Ryman Auditorium

A man has been arrested after he tried to burn down the Ryman Auditorium.

On August 18, Jeffrey Parsley was caught on security cameras piling newspapers outside the back door and trying to light them on fire. It rose several feet in the air before firefighters got there and dealt with it. There doesn't seem to be any damage done to the legendary building (although we have yet to hear), and there were no injuries.

Jeffrey Parsley was taken into custody on August 27, charged with arson, and had his bond set to $20,000.

I imagine a lot of country fans won't be too happy with Mr Parsley. The Ryman is an integral part of country music's history and culture, not t0 mention a great Nashville venue that brings in acts of all kinds to the area.
