Make It Or Break It - Requiem for a Dream - Recap

Emily being pregnant dropped a bomb on her life and career. So far, Emily hasn't really been dealing with it and the only people who know are Sasha and her mom. Sasha tries to encourage her to make her decision quickly but Emily won't decide until she knows for sure whether or not she's going to World's. Emily's mom tries to be there for her to help with her decision. In between pondering abortion, Emily still finds time to insult her mother and tell her how she never wanted to be like her. Nice. When Emily is cleared to go to World's, she runs outside to cry about her life. Payson isn't having it and lays a smackdown on her crappy life choices. Go Payson.
Sasha shows up back at the gym on his motorcycle (LOL) because apparently his trailer is MIA. Not everyone is happy to see him. Lauren isn't happy he's back because of her underlying guilt and the fact that he's way hotter than her dad and this poses a problem for her dream family. She urges her dad to hurry and propose to Summer before Sasha's abs work their magic. He proposes to her but she needs to think about it. She can't accept before finding out if things would ever work with Sasha. And now we get the funniest scene of the night in my opinion. Sasha confesses to Summer about being unsure on how best to advise Emily about her pregnancy because he wants what's best for her and her family. They butt heads over her stubborn morals and before you know it Summer is out the door and into Steve's arms because Sasha dares to disagree with her. I don't know who it is but there's gotta be someone on this show that's better for Sasha.
Lauren is having trouble with one of her moves and has to work one on one with Sasha early in the morning while he observes from a beach chair eating cereal. LOL. He successfully helps her with everything she needs and she finally sees how much he cares about her. He always wanted her to do well. This prompts Lauren to..well not tell him the truth. But she sends in the video of him and Payson in its entirety to the NGO and really I think that's the best we can ask for from Lauren.
Damon is excited to share the good news from his label. They want him and Kaylie to record their duet. Meh. Still not crazy about this song or this pairing. Kaylie wonders if she can live a life that isn't all about gymnastics. She's finally at a good place and is cleared to start training again but she doesn't know if she wants to. She's unsure about a lot of things and it probably doesn't help when Damon kisses her. Even though he and Emily broke up, Kaylie who has been burned before would never do that to a friend.
The NGO guy comes over to support Emily after her mother went to him for help. It seems like they all want to let her know that abortion is an acceptable solution to the problem and she could get back to training immediately. Emily misconstrues the situation and seems to think they're trying to control her life or something. Naturally, this makes Emily want to do the exact opposite. She is so stubborn it blows my mind. She runs over to Damon's house and practically storms in announcing that she's going to be moving in so they can live their life with their happy little family. What the hell Emily? You can barely afford toothpaste as it is. Always use a condom kids.
Emily rushes back home to pack before Damon can even react. She doesn't get very far before Kaylie shows up to let her know that she and Damon kissed. This triggers something in Emily's brain and she hops on a bus to go live in Vegas with her Godmother. Um. Okay. She's cruising down the highway as the memories and highlights of her gymnastics journey play in the window. RIP Emily's career? The positive thing about all this is that it unites the rest of the girls as a team. They put everything else aside to focus on their dream once again. Marshmallows for everyone!
