Magic Mike Cast - NYC Promotion - Pictures
This week, I had the epic pleasure of meeting most of the cast for Magic Mike while they were doing promotion in the city. Sexy, sexy men to be sure. I am so excited for this movie!
I met the main star, Channing Tatum, twice and he is the nicest person ever! He has an unparalleled level of fan adoration that I totally admire. First on Wednesday, my friends and I met Channing outside of his appearance on David Letterman. He didn’t sign for any of the crazy autograph hounds and pictures with fans took main priority for him. I love people like him with an obvious sense of appreciation for how far he has come.
Earlier today, we also met Channing outside the Today show, which was ridiculously crowded and yet he still stopped for the fans. I could barely breath the second time I met him out of excitement. He was rushed but still tried to get to as many people as possible.
Also on Wednesday, we were able to meet True Blood hunk (and Magic Mike star) Joe Manganiello, who was also ridiculously kind to fans. He stopped on his way INTO the Today show and on the way out as well. I was so happy to meet him since I had missed him on Live with Kelly the same day. He signed a Magic Mike spread from Entertainment Weekly for me, and I told him how excited I was to finally see the movie. He said he’s really pumped for me to see it, and it kind of made my day. I got two lovely pictures with him! That sexy beard, don’t even get me started…
Today I also met Matthew McConaughey at the Today show, who only stopped for my little brother on the way out. He didn’t seem to be in a very good mood and I barely was able to snap a picture with him because he was being rushed to his car, even though he said he could take one. I don’t like to pass judgement though, so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he was just having a bad day.
Last and certainly not least, I journeyed all the way to Brooklyn to meet stud Matt Bomer, who was the most approachable person ever and seemed totally chill. He actually seemed surprised when I told him that I was seeing Magic Mike tonight at midnight, and he said he loved meeting me and my friends. He also told us to enjoy the show tonight. As if I didn’t love Matt enough already, he was so nice. His beautiful hair was slightly distracting, especially when trying to form coherent words to say.
It’s off now to see the Magic Mike midnight show, which I’m hoping is going to be as epic as promised. The cast is the best! I wanted to see Ted too, but any movie with this much sexy is a top priority. Who else is ready for this awesomeness?
