Madame Tussauds Unveils Samuel L. Jackson As Nick Fury Wax Figure
The baddest man in the Marvel Universe is being rendered in glorious...wax?
Midtown Comics will be partnering with Madame Tussauds New York to unveil Samuel L. Jackson’s wax figure as Marvel Comics superhero Nick Fury at New York Comic Con today. The figure will be featured in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, at the Midtown Comics’ booth #1736.
Madame Tussauds artists worked closely with Jackson to accurately render his likeness in 2000, a process that took three months for the dedicated team of studio artists. Transforming Jackson’s figure into Nick Fury required replicating the character's distinctive look with a custom-made long leather trench coat and signature eye patch. Photo ops will be available with both Captain America and Nick Fury all weekend long.
Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury will go on display at Madame Tussauds New York starting October 14. Marvel’s highly anticipated Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D television series premiered last month on ABC and Nick Fury made an enthusiastically-received cameo appearance last week.
