Ready to return to a post-apocalyptic nightmare full of roving bands of savage gangs and guys who look like Tom Hardy? No? Just me then? For those looking forward to the latest Mad Max film, you now have a date to mark on your calendar.

Mad Max: Fury Road has set an official release date: the film will hit heaters on May 15, 2015, which is apt since summer 2015 marks 30 years since Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome was released.

The 3D film stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, will be a re-imagining of George Miller’s 1979 classic, which launched Mel Gibson into superstardom. Miller is returning to write, direct, and produce the fourth film in the franchise, which will also star Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Zoë Kravitz, and Riley Keough.

Not much is known about the plot at the moment, but one would imagine roads and fury are involved.
