Lucas Black at the 3M Celebrity Challenge at Pebble Beach

Actor Lucas Black and ESPN broadcaster Chris Berman were the big winners at the 3M Celebrity Challenge at Pebble Beach Golf Links last Wednesday.

Lucas is one of my favorite actors of all time. He played golf in high school and has been playing in non-professional tournaments when he's not acting. His last film 'Utopia' with Robert Duvall was actually about a golfer.

From Mercury News:

Just before teeing off for the Celebrity Challenge at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, many of the participants were talking about Lucas Black being a ringer.

Black, best known for his roles in "Friday Night Lights" and "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" movies, sunk a dramatic chip shot on No. 18 to clinch the win for he and teammate Chris Berman of ESPN.

With the celebrity field tied after five holes, Black stepped up as the first contestant in a chip-off competition. The closest to the hole won the event.

Black's shot sailed smoothly to the hole, sending a roar through the crowd. He ran across the green with his arms stretched out to his sides in celebration.

Black and Berman, won a $40,000 prize for each of their respective charities.
