Lost Season 6 - Episode 12: Everybody Loves Hugo - Recap

One part of me while watching tonight's episode hoped for closure of long running Lost storylines -- and we did get some -- but some very important plot points were revealed tonight that just confused me and left me craving for the next episode... for even more closure!
A Hugo-centric episode tonight which brought us back Libby and the person who killed her: Michael.
Flash-sideways!
We had probably one of the best opening scenes ever on Lost as Dr. Pierre Chang (head of the Dharma Initiative) introduces Hugo Reyes as the "Man of the Year" as CEO of Mr. Cluck. Fun.
Hugo's mother suggests that he find a date. While waiting for a blind date in a restaurant, Libby approaches him. She asks him if he remembers her and starts talking about soulmates (OMG - I hate the word), etc. Hugo is puzzled. And then we discover that Libby is in a mental health institution on a field trip.
A depressed Hugo orders a bucket of chicken from one of his Mr. Cluck franchises, and after he finishes, Desmond sees him. Desmond talks to Hugo and then realizes that he may have had the same memory flashbacks of someone he loved as well -- and he tells Hugo to pursue Libby.
Hugo visits the mental health place -- which was the same place Hugo was in a couple of seasons ago. Libby tells him about her memory of the island! But Hugo does not remember -- however he asks her out on a date.
On their date on the beach, they talk, and then kiss -- and Hugo's memories come back!
Pan to Desmond who witnesses it and drives away...
Island!
Michael shows up Hugo at cemetery. Basically, he is discouraging Hugo to go to Hyrda Island to blow up the plane -- as is being planned by Richard and Ilana.
On the beach, Hugo tries to tell everyone that it is a bad idea. However, Ilana says she has worked all her life for this moment -- to protect the candidates and according to Richard, they should blow up the plane which is what they will do.
She drops a bag with four sticks of dynamite on the ground -- and then she blows up! OMG - Hahaha. Funniest. Death. Ever.
Richard leads everyone to the Black Rock to get more dynamite (which Hugo says is OK).
Just moments from getting to the Black Rock, Hugo comes running back from it, telling everyone to run. The ship blows up!
Richard is livid. Hugo tries to convince them that Jacob told him that they should talk to Flocke. Richard doesn't believe it and says that he will go to the Dharma barracks to find explosives. Ben and Miles join him. The rest stay with Hugo.
Hugo leads Jack, Sun and Frank to Flocke. Jack and Hugo have a heart to heart talk. Hugo admits that he did not talk to Jacob and has no idea what he is doing. All he knows is that they can't blow up the plane (because they'll all die according to Michael). Jack says that he knew that but wanted to show that he trusted Hugo.
Then some voices in the jungle.
"Wait, I think I know what these are," says Hugo. He splits up with the group and meets Michael.
We then get a big reveal: Michael 'spirit' or whatever he is now cannot leave the island because of what he did (kill people).
"There are others like you who can't do the same, that's what the whispers are?"
"We're the ones that can't move on," says Michael.
Hugo asks where Flocke is, and Michael points to his camp.
"Is there anything I can do to help you?" asks Hugo.
"Don't get yourself killed. And Hurley... If you ever do see Libby again, tell her I'm very sorry."

Meanwhile, Sayid delivers Desmond to Flocke. Flocke brings him to a well. He says that a long time ago places like the well made "compasses spin" so "they dug".
"Did they find what they were looking for?" asks Desmond.
Flocke says that Widmore brought Desmond back to the island was so Widmore can use him to look for other places like the well they were at.
"And that's the reason you wanted me to see this?"
"Why aren't you afraid?"
"What is the point in being afraid?"
Then Flocke pushes him in the well! What the heck???
Flocke returns to his camp. And then Hugo arrives to everyone's surprise.
"Hello Jack," says Flocke.
And then...
Flash-sideways!
Desmond is in his car at the school looking at John Locke in his wheelchair heading for his car. Ben comes knocking on the window.
Small talk about why Desmond is there.
"I just moved to the neighborhood and looking a school for my son."
When Ben leaves, Desmond starts his car, accelerates... and runs Locke over!
OMG OMG OMG
I think I know what's going to happen -- will John Locke posses his body again on the island if he dies in the Flash-sideways?
And then the preview for next week has Gene Wilder's voice from Willy Wonka when he goes crazy going into the vertigo tunnel!
I love Lost!
