Lost: The Final Season - Questions, Answers, WTF Moments and Flocke

(Here are burning questions from tonight's episode of Lost from our Lostern Noelle! We are both picking up gray matter from the floor. You can read my recap here).
Tonight's episode of Lost was unbelievable. Attempting to write a summary would be laughable, considering my brain has been busy imploding for the past 2 hours. Instead, let's go over some of the biggest questions, answers, theories, and WTF moments from tonight's premiere event.
SPOILER ALERT
- The episode starts off focusing on our Losties enjoying the plane ride to LAX. Before we get our hopes up, is this necessarily proof that Dan's plan worked? Instead of blowing them back in time, did it push them..sideways? Into an alternate timeline of how things could have been? When Jack saved Charlie's life on the plane, Charlie did say that he was "supposed to die."
- Why was Jack bleeding on the plane? How did Otherville end up looking like Atlantis in the ocean?
- Back on the island, things seem to have picked up right where they left off..only..in the present? Sawyer is able to get to Juliet and hold her where the writers decide to punch us all in the nads and show her dying in his arms. Ugh. As If watching her fall like 72 times during the recap wasn't bad enough. Her last words, according to Miles are "It worked." Is she talking about detonating the H bomb sending the Losties back? Or does she mean not having to lose Sawyer if he loses her first?
- Man in Black or Fake Locke... Flocke if you will, is Smokie. Kept in or out by ash. He succeeded in getting rid of Jacob and promptly killing anyone else in his way (most of Ilana's team). What does he want now? To go home. Where is home? The temple?
- I still refuse to believe that Jacob is actually gone for good. His Godly essence seems way too powerful to die just from a pathetic stabbing by Ben, who also asks the question, "Why didn't he defend himself?" What did he already know? It was a nice reversal seeing Ben being on the receiving end of massive manipulation.
- Will whatever happened..happen? In alternate reality land, little things seem to suggest so. The marshal getting a head injury, Jack needing a pen to save a life (ask Boone!), saving Charlie's life. But If that's the case, why is Hurley so lucky? Will Jack fix Locke? Will Kate just die already?
- How long have Flocke and Richard known each other? "It's nice to see you out of chains." Was he a slave on the Black Rock? Or a slave to Flocke or Jacob? My money is on us being treated to Nestor Carbonell on a dirty pirate ship. Why did Flocke kick Richard's ass? Bastard.
- Is John Locke really gone for good? Hearing Flocke talk about John's last moments and thoughts in such a mocking way was pretty heartbreaking. I'm stubborn and refuse to believe the writers will get rid of him for good. John is supposed to save us all.
- So uh. Where the hell did Christian's body go? Did it flash back to somewhere it's supposed to be? Or is Christian still a smokie puppet even in the alternate universe.
- Where did Desmond disappear to on the plane? No one else saw him and we don't get a glimpse of him leaving the aircraft. Desmond has always been the exception.
- Jacob appearing to Hurley and telling him to bring Sayid to the temple is curious. We see that inside the guitar case is an actual list by Jacob. If Sayid dies, they're all screwed. Why? The healing pool inside the temple seems to be murky and red and filled with, dare I say it, Jacob's blood? With Jacob gone, does the healing power still exist? Sayid doesn't appear to survive and the Others are scared. When Sayid wakes up at the end of the episode, is he himself? Or is he a vessel for Jacob? Miles confused expression hints that he might be. And there was some definite Jesus symbolism when Sayid was carried out. While i'm at it, of all people Sayid being chosen is strange. He's the opposite of what you would assume Jacob is. Was he saved in the temple? If Ben lost his innocence there, did Sayid get his back?
