Lost Jughead

OMG

Another brilliant episode of Lost. This made my night.

Major reveals tonight, sure to get Lost fans talking... so let's get talkin'!

First of all, the episode opens with a Philippine fishing village scene which got me excited. It turns out that Penny was delivering a baby on their yacht and Desmond was looking for a doctor. We find out later in the episode that they named the baby Charlie!

Back to the present and Desmond goes on a mission to look for Daniel Farraday's mother in Oxford -- which is not as easy as it sounded. Desmond goes back to Oxford but he discovers Daniel's lab closed and all traces of him covered up. He did meet a maintenance person who gives him the address of one of Daniel's "patients" -- supposedly a victim of an experiment gone wrong. When Desmond gets there, he discovered that Charles Widmore had been funding Daniel's work for 10 years and when he disappeared, took care of the now bedridden patient Teresa. Her mind "wanders off in time" and cannot communicate properly with anyone.

Desmond then storms Charles Widmore's office to demand some information: "Where is Daniel Farraday's mother?" Charles says that she is in Los Angeles. And then a reveal from Charles: "Deliver your message, then get out of this mess. Don't put Penny's life in danger. You are getting yourself involved in something that goes back many many years." OMG, what did that mean? How long has this fight for the island been going on?

We don't see Desmond going to Los Angeles yet, but we see Penny reluctantly telling him that she will go with him to find Daniel's mother.

Now for the island stuff... from last episode, Sawyer and Juliet get saved by Locke after getting attacked by burning arrow marauders. They hold two of their attackers hostage. And then they start speaking in Latin! But no: Juliet starts talking back to them in Latin. Why? Because she's an "Other". These guys are "Others" from 1953! OMG

Meanwhile, Daniel, Miles and Charlotte also get ambushed. We learn that the "Others" think they are U.S. Army personnel responsible for a hydrogen bomb named "Jughead" in the middle of the island. The "Others" take them to their leader: Richard Alpert who never gets old, LOL. Daniel convinces Richard that they are scientists sent to diffuse the bomb. Daniel is led to the bomb by this young woman -- who I suspect is Daniel Farraday's own mother (we will find out soon I hope).

Back to Locke... while walking with their prisoners Juliet gets a great idea: (in Latin) "Take us to your camp. Is Richard Alpert there?" OMG, she played the Richard Alpert card! This convinces one to take them there, but as soon as this happened, the other prisoner breaks his neck and runs away!

Eventually Locke, Sawyer and Juliet find the camp since they know the island inside and out. Locke goes straight for Richard -- he's on a mission to give him a compass from last episode, and Sawyer and Juliet go to save Daniel.

Daniel ends up telling the young woman that they need to bury the bomb since 50 years from now, where he is from, the island was still in tact. Sawyer and Juliet arrive. Young woman: "Are they from the future too?" Sawyer: "You told her?" LOL

Locke walks into the camp looking for Richard Alpert. Richard doesn't know him. Locke tells him the Jacob sent him. This gains Richard's trust. Then the guy who broke the other guy's neck earlier says: "Why should be trust him?" Richard: "I said put the gun down Widmore." (I can't breathe). Locke: "Your name's Widmore? Charles Widmore?" Young Murderous Charles Widmore: "What's it to you?" Locke: "Nice meeting you." OMG. That was a fantastic reveal.

So Locke talks to Richard and asks him how to get out of the island, etc. -- but before any real answers are given, the flash of light happens, and they are now moved in time again. Charlotte's nose bleeds and collapses because of her "time sickness" -- and Daniel is devastated.

I can't wait for next week. I love Lost!
