Tania Raymonde, best known as Alex Rousseau on ABC's Lost, has been cast as accused murderer Jodi Arias in a Lifetime original movie focusing on the salacious, ongoing trial.

In addition, The Mob Doctor's Jesse Lee Soffer has been cast as Travis Alexander, the ex Arias is accused of murdering.

Arias faces a charge of first-degree murder in relation to Alexander’s 2008 killing at his home outside Phoenix, though Arias claims to have acted in self-defense. The defense rested their case on Monday after close to three months of testimony.

The Lifetime movie is being executive produced by Joshua D. Maurer, Alixandre Witlin and Judith Verno, the creative forces behind Lifetime’s Drew Peterson biopic.

The role is hardly the only good news Raymonde has received in recent weeks, as the actress recently landed a lead role on NBC’s proposed Chicago Fire spin-off.

The Jodi Arias biopic has no release date set as of yet.
