Lorde, Sam Smith, One Direction, More Cover Beach Boys' 'God Only Knows' (VIDEO)

BBC Music is apparently a HUGE deal.

The launch of the BBC's new music initiative (which will encompass TV, radio, and digital programming) has resulted in possibly the biggest team-up of top music talent in recent memory. Stars such as Lorde, Sam Smith, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, One Direction, Pharrell, Chris Martin, Dave Grohl, Florence Welch and more (seriously, SO many more) have come together in an all-star cover of the Beach Boys classic, "God Only Knows".

However, the song is for more than just the launch of BBC Music, as the single will also be released in aid of the Children In Need charity. In all, the track features 27 artists across all musical genres. Featuring songwriter and Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson, along with the BBC Concert Orchestra, the stars have aligned for what's a pretty surreal, enchanting little video.

Bob Shennan, director of BBC Music, said: "This 'impossible' orchestra is a celebration of all the talent, diversity and musical passion found every single day throughout the BBC."

In short, this looks like a great start for BBC Music. Watch the full video below:
