Lola Saunders sings 'Imagine' on The X Factor UK 2014 (VIDEO)

Lola Saunders sang 'Imagine' on The X Factor UK 2014 Live Show 2 on October 18, 2014.

Pre-performance: Lola recalls the highs of last week, saying she felt like a princess. This means the world to her, and she's grateful to be here, even though she misses her family. She'll be singing "Imagine" by John Lennon, and she's intent on doing it justice. However, she does have a few vocal problems in rehearsal, as far as hitting all the notes are concerned. But she's looking to surprise people with her performance, and get people to see her as a potential frontrunner. I thought people already did?

Nick's Thoughts: At the risk of blaspheming, Lola reminds me a lot of Adele. Crossed a bit with Ella Henderson. In short, I thought this was stunning, both confident and subtle at the same time. It was a simple, stripped back performance that really allowed Lola to convey the passion and emotion of the song. There was nothing about this I didn't love. Lola is just terrific. She earns a standing ovation from Mel B and Cheryl.

Judges: Louis loves Lola and says it's time to stop selling fish and start making records. Mel B is enthusiastic about Lola, saying she was on-point with her vocal, and became a legend on that stage. Simon thinks Lola is growing with each week, and still feels we've only seen about 80% of her capability. He thinks Lola is a potential dark horse. Cheryl, meanwhile, compares Lola to an angel.
