'Liv and Maddie' Renewed by The Disney Channel

Great news for fans of the Disney Channel's Liv and Maddie. The comedy series has been renewed for a second season.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the sophomore season will consist of 13 episodes. Production begins in March with an anticipated premiere in the Fall.

"Liv and Maddie has quickly become a Disney Channel fan favorite and our viewers have connected with Dove Cameron in her dual role, as well as the rest of the Rooney family," said Adam Bonnett, executive vp original programming. "Season two will continue to make families laugh with relatable and engaging stories."

Liv and Maddie centers around two twin sisters, both played by Dove Cameron. Dove is on the fast track to be a new Disney darling as she will also be starring in the upcoming Disney Original Movie Descendants. The movie fill focus on the children of classic Disney villains.
