Listen to The Band Perry Cover Elton John's 'Grey Seal'

Elton John is set to release a deluxe version of his 1973 classic album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (which has sold an astonishing 31 million copies worldwide), and to celebrate the collection will feature various acts covering the legendary tracks.

The record, due tomorrow (March 25 - Elton's 67th birthday), will feature Zac Brown Band singing 'Harmony' and Hunter Hayes performing the title track, as well as contributions from a number of other stars across the music industry, including Emeli Sande, Fall Out Boy, Imelda May, John Grant and Miguel, and our featured track, The Band Perry on 'Grey Seal'.

Elton has said of the original record, "We were a band reaching our zenith at that point. Things were escalating, and the momentum was exciting. This is before I started drugs and drinking. This was pure Elton," he told USA Today.

"This was only the third record with the band", he continued. "We found our direction and were at our most confident. All my original influences were on it. It was an outpouring of everything that was inside me at that time. We were on a roll and we had adrenaline on our side. It was the beginning of our ascent to the top. It was magic."
