Lisa Punch Earns West Coast Save on 'Rising Star'

By Nick Roman ·

Last night's Rising Star featured the premiere of the live duels, which pit Megan Tibbits vs. Sarah Darling, Will Roth vs. Jesse Kinch, and Alice Lee vs. Lisa Punch. When the dust settled, Tibbits, Kinch, and Lee advanced. However, host Josh Groban stressed that the West Coast would have a chance to have their voices heard as well, as voters could save one of the eliminated acts.

Well, the show aired on the West Coast, and when all was said and done, Lisa Punch was the lucky recipient of the West Coast save:

I don't know that Punch can win, but I thought she was miles better than her opponent last night, and her elimination was the one legitimate headscratcher out of the three duels we saw, at least in my opinion. She's a seriously good singer, so I can't fault the West Coast for this decision. But what do you think? Did the West Coast voters get this one right? If not, whom would you have put through?
