Lily Tomlin Marries Longtime Partner Jane Wagner

After 42 years together, Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner have finally tied the knot.

The comedian and her longtime partner swapped vows on New Year's Eve in a private ceremony in Los Angeles.

Said a spokesperson for the couple, "They're very happy."

The duo reportedly met while Tomlin, a comedian, was looking for someone to help her develop the character of Edith Ann for sketch comedy.

News of the marriage first hit when their friend and columnist Liz Smith wrote of the nuptials, "[M]y longtime friends, Lily Tomlin and her love, the writer Jane Wagner, got married on the eve of 2014. ... My wish is that their happiness will be as great as their combined talents."

Congratulations ladies, you've definitely earned it.
