Lily Rabe to Reprise 'American Horror Story: Asylum' Role on 'Freak Show'

The American Horror Story franchise is reaching back into its own past.

Lily Rabe will be appearing on American Horror Story: Freak Show, reprising her role as Sister Mary Eunice from American Horror Story: Asylum. Rabe has appeared in every season of the series, but has yet to make her appearance because she is currently starring in the midseason ABC series The Whispers. She will reportedly shoot her guest spot this weekend.

In storyline, Sister Mary's return "involves Pepper (Naomi Grossman) and how she ended up going from the freak show to Asylum‘s titular institution, Briarcliff." Her appearance will be in the 10th episode of the season.

This marks the second major casting release in the past 24 hours, following the news that Neil Patrick Harris will finally get his wish, as the actor will guest star on an episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show (as will his husband, David Burtka). So yeah, it's a pretty good time to be a fan of American Horror Story.
