Lily Allen: Dylan Farrow's Letter is a Best Actress Conspiracy

For some strange reason, Lily Allen is convinced Dylan Farrow's open letter about being sexually assaulted by step-father Woody Allen is an attempt to drum up Best Actress votes for the Oscars.

What?

As she wrote in her since-deleted tweet which has been saved thanks to the powers of the screen shot:

So basically, because Cate Blanchett (who happens to be a Best Actress nominee for Woody Allen's film Blue Jasmine) was mentioned in Farrow's letter, this is all a publicity stunt.

At which point fans put her in her place and she claimed it was a direct message gone wrong.

For his part, the super reclusive Woody Allen has responded to the allegations via a rep, who said in a statement: "Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful. He will be responding very soon."
