Legends of the Knight - Batman Documentary Trailer Premiere - Video

What is the cultural impact of Batman? Well, walk into any place that sells things, and you'll likely find plenty of Batman merchandise, to say nothing of how he's impacted the cultural consciousness through close to eighty years of comic books and decades of films. But if you want a more descriptive exploration of the effect of The Dark Knight on the public imagination, a new documentary looks to be the cure for what ails ya.

Legends of the Knight, Brett Culp's Kickstarter-funded documentary film, looks at "the social and personal impact of DC Comics' legendary superhero." The movie features Dark Knight producer Michael Uslan, veteran writer and editor Denny O'Neil and Gotham Chopra, author of Seven Spiritual Laws of Superheroes and son of Deepak Chopra (bonus points for Gotham's eerily appropriate name). As the film's Kickstarter campaign reads, "Legends of the Knight is a feature-length, not-for-profit documentary film about the power of storytelling to create positive change in our lives and in the world around us." The statement continues, "And we are expressing this through the lens of one of the most popular stories of our time - The Batman."
