Lee DeWyze not invited to American Idol 10 Finale

A bit of uproar tonight as Lee DeWyze announced on Twitter that he was not invited to perform on the American Idol Finale Results Show on Wednesday. Whether he will be there in the audience we don't know.

Nevertheless, the only time that a winner from a previous season did not make an appearance on the next's years finale was in Season 4 when Fantasia did not perform (source: Wikipedia).

This indeed is a slap in the face to Lee. If Taylor Hicks got an invite to perform, why not Lee? Is there some bad blood between him and show? I thought that Lee was a good soldier for the American Idol brand even if his sales have not been stellar.

Basically, FOX is telling us one thing: It's all about money, not loyalty. They fed the fans the Lee DeWyze Kool-Aid last year which thousands of us took in. And then not even a year later, Lee's not worth at least a few minutes in the finale. Says a lot of what they think of their product, this year's included.

FOX is all about country music now apparently. Let's see what happens in a year.
