Lee DeWyze has lowest 'American Idol Winner' debut ever

How disappointing for the American Idol brand. First David Archuleta sells 24,000 copies of "The Other Side of DownImage: " (total 37,000 so far) and now Lee DeWyze sells 38,000 copies of "Live It Up" in his first week.

Meanwhile the "Got Talent" franchise is going strong: Susan Boyle's "The GiftImage: " is No. 1 this week (for a second week) with 325,000 units and Jackie Evancho's "O Holy NightImage: " is No. 2 with 260,000 units according to Hits Daily Double.

Lee DeWyze's Live It Up makes its debut on The Billboard 200 this week at No. 19, selling 38,000 units -- less than half what the previous season's American Idol winner debut in his first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

In fact, Lee's first-week sales are the lowest for a debut album from any winner or runner-up in the show's history.
